MAUI CANCER RESOURCES receives a grant for $9,995.00 from Bayer Fund

KIHEI HAWAII, JUNE 10, 2024 – MAUI CANCER RESOURCES announced today it received a grant for $9,995.00 from Bayer Fund, a philanthropic arm of Bayer in the U.S. This grant will be used towards building a better future by providing integrative cancer supportive care to Maui County cancer patients.Maui Cancer Resources Medical Director, Dr. Bridget Bongaard said, “This Bayer Fund Grant enables us to offer more supportive cancer care services to more Maui cancer patients who need educational knowledge, emotional support and healthy food to promote healing during and after undergoing cancer treatment. We are honored to have been chosen for this wonderful gift.”

Both Bayer Fund and Maui Cancer Resources share a mutual goal to see the communities we serve flourish, this grant from Bayer Fund will support Maui Cancer Resources by allowing them to develop Cancer Fighting Kitchen workshops focusing on nutritious food and healthy cooking technique education, expand their integrative supportive cancer care programs and personal cancer support consults.
